Lees verder!

character.
[competitive] Ever since he was very young, Victor has always had a strong desire to win and be the best. This does not limit itself to figure skating, but also other sports and things like boardgames. Victor is known to do nothing but is very best at anything and rarely does anything half-arsed. If Victor fails to be the best or has a setback, he doesn't just sit back and take his loss. He takes action, will analyze where it went wrong and will make absolutely sure it doesn't happen again. Victor generally likes other competitive people and sees them as very welcome competition.

[carefree] Though Victor may be quite a competitive person, he is also very carefree. He doesn't regret any of his past or any bad experiences, because there'll be a time where he can right them. Victor's mind often wanders in his own world, making it seem like Victor can be quite an airhead at times. Because of this, he tends to forget his stuff like his wallet or phone regularly.

[creative] Victor can be considered highly creative. It was easy to see in his figure skating programs, them always being a bit different than the rest. But is also shows in Victor's artskills, as he has quite a hand in drawing. Problem solving is another thing that Victor usually uses his wild imagination on. He has a different view on things than most, and is able to see many things in a different light.

[grumpy] Though Victor has always been a friendly boy, ever since he started intensifying his trainings after the Winter Olympics 2014, he became a bit grumpy. Most of this, of course, has to do with the fact with how tired he was all the time. Now a days, Victor is mostly grumpy because he can't compete in skating anymore, which basically was his whole world. He just doesn't care anymore.

[calm] Usually, Victor is a naturally calm and level-headed person. He always tries to reason the why, when anything bad happens. Even when Victor loses his temper, he is often able to remain composed. That is, until you go too far, for when Victor is angry, you better stay miles away from him.

[awkward] Victor, having been homeschooled, never really was around a lot of people his own age. Because of this, he really isn't very good with emotional situations, being clumsy at best, and cruel and insensitive at worst. Though Victor is not afraid to actually strike a conversation with people, he has troubles continuing them and usually finds himself not knowing what to say or do. Victor can be rather blunt and rarely thinks before he speaks.

history.
When asked what Phoebe Choi—an American born Korean girl—wanted to be when she was older, she'd confidently answer she wanted to be a Figure Skater! An Olympian even! She started her skating career when she was six years old and was completely head over heels with the sport. Three days a week, Phoebe trained at a local skating rink, all the while balancing her school life. She had talent, is what she was told frequently by her coach, who urged her to come in every day, so she really could be the Olympian she wanted to be. Although her parents were unsure at first, they quickly caved after seeing their daughter enjoying herself so much on the ice, as long as Phoebe kept on top of her schoolwork. In no time, the young girl entered in various competitions and eventually nationals, winning or coming close to it, more times than not. She also entered in several international competitions. When Phoebe was sixteen, she was scouted by a Russian coach, Ivan Romanov, who asked the girl to come to his country, so he could make an Olympian out of her. While Phoebe was pretty much ready to go and pack her bags, her parents still had their reservations. They were afraid Phoebe would not be able to finish her education. Romanov managed to persuade them, however, after reassuring them that Phoebe would go to an international school for athletes nearby.

When Phoebe arrived in Russia, training was nearly ten folded. She trained hard every day, often even past midnight, under the close guidance and instructions of Romanov. She visibly became better, her landings more smooth and elegant, which also expressed itself in competitions. In October 1996, Phoebe was qualified for the Olympics in 1998. Training became even tougher as Romanov and Phoebe started creating a winning short and free program. Furthermore, they visited Georg Nikiforov, a famous skating costume designer who also was a nephew of Romanov. He would be making Phoebe's costumes for the Olympics. The two of them hit it off almost immediately and became quick friends. Romanov did under no circumstance allow Phoebe to date; he believed she could not use the distraction, especially not during this important time. Nonetheless, love bloomed between Georg and Phoebe and they started dating in secret.

In October 1998, during another ruthless training by none other than Romanov, Phoebe made an nasty fall during a triple axel. Though there was no initial damage, Phoebe complained about dizziness and nausea and was brought to the hospital for a checkup. She told the doctor that she had felt really unstable these past few weeks, as if her body had shifted its balance. Tests were taken to see if anything was wrong with the girl's blood work. The results, however, were something no one really saw coming. Phoebe was pregnant and five months along at that. She hadn't noticed. She had always been thin and her periods never really came, as was normal for a lot of athletes. But she was pregnant and with that came the realization that she would not be able to compete during the Olympics. Romanov was absolutely infuriated at first, before calming down to a grave disappointment, before switching over to supportive. Phoebe had similar feelings really. At first, she couldn't help but feeling angry at Georg. In her mind, he was the sole reason for ruining her biggest dream, even though, deep down, she knew he wasn't. Her anger lasted for about three days in which she did not utter a word to the designer. Then she came crying to him, asking him what they were going to do now. Fortunately Georg was really supportive and started making plans for them immediately. Though Phoebe realized that she would probably never be able to go to the Olympics, she began loving her unborn baby and the future that lay ahead of her.

On February 18th 1998, on the same day Phoebe was supposed to start her short program in Nagano, she gave birth to a small baby boy, Victor Nikiforov.

Victor was, if anything, quite a handful. The boy was incredibly active and loved moving around, not unlike his mother of course. He was quick to crawl and walk and started running within no time. Victor must've been no older than two when he took his first steps on ice. When he was three, the young parents decided to enroll the boy in some basic skating glasses, to see if he liked it. He did, in fact, he didn't want to go home afterwards! Romanov, who had come with them to Victor's classes, immediately saw potential in the young child and was eager to personally teach the boy. Phoebe, who had never really been able to let go of her love that was skating, agreed.

Victor became good, very fast. He started participating in some small, local, non official, just-for-fun competitions and was quick to steal the hearts of many. When Victor was six and he had his first bigger competition, his mother had to come later and was consequently rushing over to the ice rink, not wanting to miss her sons performance. So focused on getting there in time, she did not see the truck coming from her left. It was only after Victor had secured first place and won that he and his father heard of what happened. Victor, eager to become the Olympian his mom had wanted to be and had wanted him to be, started training again the very next day. Of course he was sad, terribly so, but the ice gave him comfort and made him deal with his loss better. That was until that evening, when all hell broke loose for a split second. Victor was doubting himself, blaming himself for what had happened to his mother. Was it even fair to continue figure skating? He became angry at himself and everything around him, when all of a sudden, the lights in the house all exploded into darkness and a nearby vase cracked into a million pieces. Now, his father was no stranger to Peculiar Children as his brother had been one. So Georg, shocked at what happened made a vague connection and took Victor to see a specialized doctor. This man confirmed what Georg was thinking. Victor was a Peculiar Child and the loss of his mother had triggered his Peculiarity to show up. At first, there was really no telling of when Victor would explode things. It seemingly happened out of nowhere and could really happen at any given time or situation. Along with figure skating, Romanov also was a great teacher with trying to figure out his Peculiarity, but it remained a difficult thing.

By the time Victor was eight years old, he managed to do various triple jumps and was well on his way to land his first quad. As he grew older and his movements became more controlled and defined, it was clear to see that Victor was extremely talented, even more so than his late mother. His movements were gracious and elegant and the landings of his jumps were always clear and well executed. His choreography was always full of emotions and seemed to fit just right. In the Winter Olympics of 2014, when Victor was almost sixteen years old, he competed and won silver. At first, Victor was really happy with his performance, but later, when he thought about it when he was alone in his hotel room, he or rather many objects of the room exploded. He should've won gold for his mother. Press caught wind of this, but Victor, his coach and his management team, managed to make up a story about how his hotel room had been robbed. They bought it, but Romanov warned Victor that this wouldn't always be so easy and he had to learn how to control his Peculiarity.

Victor competed in the Grand Prix the very next year, having trained day and night for it. His hard work finally paid off and he won. The next year he competed in the World Championship and won this as well. Victor was only seventeen years old, but he was at the top of the figure skating world. He became quite famous and nearly everyone knew his name. That same year, Victor competed in another Grand Prix. Though Victor was never really cocky or overconfident, he was ready to win, especially with his current programs, which had been perfected to the max. To the very last minute he had argued with Romanov about his free program, however, wanting to switch out all his triples for quads, knowing he could land them all. All except his triple axel of course, as he was still trying to land that one cleanly. Romanov refused and send out Victor with the program they had agreed upon. Victor felt angry with his coach for not listening to him, even though he was absolutely convinced he could land any and all. He'd show him, was what Victor thought. And at first he did. During his program, not looking at his coach for even a second he switched out all his triples and landed all of them perfectly, just like Victor expected. Then, on the last jump, which would be a Quad Salchow, his energy all spend, Victor didn't push off the ice high enough and made a nasty fall, breaking his wrist in the process. Not being able to continue, he sat up slowly, paramedics speeding towards him. The crowd was so loud with whispers and shouts and talking and laughing and… Victor was angry. Angry at himself for his stupid miscalculations. He waved his hand in a go-away motion and as he did, the nearby wooden wall and glass exploded. The ice started creaking and a big rip appeared near him. Nearby trashcans and several stereo boxes exploded into dust.

Though Victor was quickly removed from the building by his team, the damage had already been done. Press haunted the boy for days on end and many people of the public thought it absurd and disgusting that a Peculiar was allowed to enter competitions. The Olympics a few years back even! They started to threaten him, that he should leave the figure skating world behind him, or else! On advice of Romanov, Victor ignored it all and continued competing. The next time he showed up at a somewhat minor competition, random people started harassing him when he was alone, warming up in the dressing room. They held the seventeen year old down and grabbed one of his skates, taking off the guard. They proceeded to cut a small diagonal line over his sleep, all the while threatening the now sobbing and screaming boy. That was when Romanov entered, Georg on his heels. Between the tears and blood in his eyes, Victor is unsure of what exactly happened after that. Little did he know, that he would never skate in competition again.

Romanov and Georg decided it was best, for Victor's own safety to move him to a loop and managed to find the one in Inndyr, which Victor joined shortly hereafter.
